History

R and C Engineering Inc. was founded in 2007 by Alan Cohen, P.Eng.BDS, after acquiring over 13 years of building consulting experience in the Greater Toronto Area.

In 1993, Mr. Cohen graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics, with a Minor in Management. In 1996, he received his Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) licence to practice. In 2006, he was granted the official marks "Building Design Specialist" (BDS) by the PEO for the successful completion of the following Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing Bill 124 exams: Complex Building, Building Structural, and Designer Legal.

In 2008, R&C Engineering established their current office, located in the Downsview area of north Toronto.
